The Coronavirus, now better known as COVID-19, appeared pretty much out of nowhere for most of us. It was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. There are now currently 98,000 Coronavirus cases worldwide and growing.
Ways to protect yourself against the virus are:
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home. Try not to touch anything else in the house when you get home before thoroughly washing your hands with soap first.
- In public or work bathrooms, grab some toilet paper, a tissue, or anti-bacterial wipes to lock the toilet door or flush the toilet. Try not to make direct contact with your fingers. Once you are done, wash your hands with soap.
- In public places, minimise touching rails, doors, elevator buttons, turnpikes, trolleys, ATMs, and so forth. If you do, keep your hands away from your face and wash immediately with soap.
- Eat at home with food you prepare yourself. Avoid eating out as much as you can. When eating out or getting your food delivered, you don’t know who is handling and preparing your food. Best to be safe.
